DIY Laundry Soap

So I found this DIY Laundry Soap on Pinterest and I wanted to do it! Unlike many of the things I re-pin on there, it was affordable to me so I actually got to make it! It is so easy to make. The hardest part was just mixing it all together!

　

FYI - I used a salad shooter to grate the soap. I didn't get a very fine grate, but I really didn't want to do it by hand! Also I used Fels-Naptha soap instead of Zote. One, because Lauren mentioned she read a few good things about it, and two, that was the only soap my grocery store had on hand. I don't know how much Zote costs, but Fels-Naptha was only $0.97 per bar. I used two bars. So I've had a crochet project in mind for my good best friend's baby, who's due date was the end of January....well, SURPRISE!!  Baby Oliver was born tonight, and needless to say, I have not started his welcome to the world gift!  So I will be posting my first pics tomorrow morning....you can find the pattern from One & Two Comany here.  A sweet little owl baby blankie (so cool, since owls are all the rage right now!!) Stay tuned!!

 

So here is the owl head....waiting to be have eyes and wings attached and stuffed with stuffing!  Then it's on to the blankie part :)  Stay tuned for more pics, I will be visitng Baby O this weekend, so I better get a move on!!
